Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2026
At One Hard Thing, we believe that discipline extends to how we handle your data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to provide you with the best habit-tracking experience:
- Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your email (for Apple Sign-In) and display name.
- Habit Data: The hard things you commit to, your completion records, and streak data.
- Usage Data: Anonymous analytics about how you use the app to help us improve.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted backend service. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit. Your data is never sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
Apple Sign-In
We use Apple Sign-In for authentication. When you sign in with Apple, we only receive your email address and name—nothing more. Apple handles your credentials securely, and we never see your Apple password.
Analytics
We use anonymous, aggregated analytics to understand how users interact with our app. This helps us improve the experience. We never track personal behavior or share identifiable data with analytics providers.
Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- Export: Request a full export of your data at any time
- Delete: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Modify: Edit or update your information through the app
Children's Privacy
One Hard Thing is not designed for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app and on this page with an updated date.
